Check-in for the 2017 Ramah Israel Bike Ride and Hiking Trip begins at noon at the Leonardo Plaza Hotel in Ashdod. Check into your room, get a schedule and information for the week, and begin meeting other riders and hikers! Riders will also set up their bikes with our mechanics from Gordon Tours, ride around, and get comfortable. Before dinner we’ll have our opening ceremony, and officially kick-off our journey together!

We’ll begin our day at the Maresha Caves in Bet Guvrin National Park. Together we will explore this incredible UNESCO site.

Sollelim will head north on Shvil Yisrael (the Israel National Trail) following the ‘Judean Curtain’ – a hilly spine with marvelous views of the Judean Hills and the Mediterranean Sea. Distance: 9 miles.

Note: As this day includes the visit to the NP, the distance is flexible.

Today we will explore the southern area of Prozdor Yerusalayim.

Sollelim will start its hike at Horvat Hanut  and then continue north through beautiful valleys, springs and old roads leading to the magnificent Soreq canyon. There, they will descend into Wadi K’talav: thick vegetation shades this majestic path. Distance: 11 miles.

We’ll be starting our day at Sataf exploring the farming mountain terraces  and one of the best preserved water springs in the region. We will cross the Soreq Valley and ascend to Yad Kennedy.

Sollelim will continue to hike to Jerusalem overlooking the Refaim valley on their way. Distance: 11 miles.

Today we will be  following  in the footsteps of King David and his rivals as we explore the Ella Valley.  

Sollelim will start at Azeqa and continue on to  Adulam Park. Distance: 12 miles.

We’ll start our day at the Ein Gedi National Park:  hiking through the gorges of Nahal David and stopping for dips in the clear water pools..

Sollelim will start at Arugot and descend to Nachal David. Distance: 5 miles.

After lunch we will ascend the Snake Path to Masada and join our riders for a unique closing experience. Additional distance for Snake Path: 1.5 miles.

We’ll start our day at the Ein Gedi National Park:  hiking through the gorges of Nahal David and stopping for dips in the clear water pools.

Tzofim will walk up David’s canyon and down to Ein-Gedi’s ancient synagogue. Distance: 2 miles.

After lunch we will climb our way up the Snake Path to Masada and meet the riders for a perfect finish of the trip. Additional distance for Snake Path: 1.5 miles.
